The Raving Patients Podcast

Sep 29, 2020

On this Facebook Live series converted into a podcast, Len sits down with Jonelle Anamelechi to discuss how the 'face' of pediatric dentistry will certainly change. This is a time us more than ever to use our emotional intelligence, and behavior management (of parent and patient) skills to continue to have our families be raving fans.

Takeaways from this episode include:

1) Pediatric Dentistry now in a world of 'hurry up' --prior to COVID-19.

2) Pediatric Denistry now in a world of 'slow down' -during COVID-19.

3) The core skills that make us great in pediatric dentistry--back to the basics.

Is wearing a pizza hat apart of your team’s job duties? Is knowing how to sing “I will survive” in your best Chipmonk voice something you do on a daily basis? No? Well, at Dr. Anamelechi’s office it is. Meet Dr. Jonelle Anamelechi, Mom of two, Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and owner of Children’s Choice Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics.

She is a graduate of Duke University and the University of North Carolina Schools of Dentistry and Public Health. Following graduation, she completed the specialized Pediatric Dental Residency Program at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

In addition to her private practice, she is a member of the teaching faculty at Children’s National Medical Center and Georgetown University Medical Center. She is also the past president of the DC American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She loves mission trips, spending time with her family, bikram yoga, and practicing her dance skills for that one day call to be Beyonce’s backup dancer. Until then, she is on her way to becoming a master Playdough builder with her son (4) and daughter (1).
